    Re: Calderdale Hike

I'm in for this (long), remember it as being a right hard day out when I previously did it in 2008. Haven't checked if route is same yet, I gather it reverses yearly so should be same again this year, but I thought I'd heard there had been route changes in 2009? If so, that must mean CP changes as there is no route descrip for this one, its all good navigation fun!

Highlight was the boggy.... checks map.... Hoar side moor after Gorple res CP (was an anti-clockwise year). If I did follow path then it wasn't much of one and I had to cross bottom of field eastward to get to a southward track, to road which next CP was on. Loads of mud streams converged down here and I went waist deep in one.

I'm registered for the long run but it remains to be seen whether I do it. If I do I'll be totally untrained.

Thanks TT. I'll keep my options open and decide as close to the day as possible. I don't think dragging a bike round would be a realistic proposition though, unfortunately.
