No rumour. 2;31 in Berlin 1984, 2:30 Inter-Services 1990 and again in 1992, 10 other sub 2:40s and 15 more under 3 hours. Find road running a bit boring now.

Thanks, those were the days. Equal 75 min splits. Just trying to age gracefully these days without getting injured.

I was at the bridge opposite the Cavendish supporting Mrs BGSec and spotted a bloke taking pictures of a blond. I recall a large camera and tripod.

    Same pair?

Assumed she was someone I should know, but couldn't be bothered to stare and try and work it out.

Didn't catch too many of you as a result of another sterling run by Mrs BGSec who was 7th in 3.42.

Did have a natter with Jez, Chris and DT who I had missed at the CP under the Beacon.

Well done all, and be glad you're not running across Round Hill today.

Aye, I'll second that. Cracking run by Mrs BGSec. And she guided me in as I didn't know the final 3.5 miles ! Please pass on my thanks & apologies......did she mention that I got her name wrong on my Harriers "Race Report" ? Ooops.

Big, big thanks to Chris brown who took me under his wing as I had neglected to recce ! Thanks for your company & encouragement !! I reckon without me you'd have beaten Brotherton Lad !!
You dark horse, jez you told me top of Beamsley you were weakening but i could'nt shake you off. Even when i left you (briefly) nr Timble, you (and Mrs BGSec) started making up ground on me again on the last hill. Another couple of miles both of you would have left me behind. Thanks for the company, i think the 3 of us make a good team - pulling/pushing each other on

Nice one Chris. But, I think you let us catch you up ! I hope I didn't spoil your run by tagging on ? Thanks for spurring me on to the finish, even though you wouldn't let me stop for a chat with Derby Tup at Beamsley Beacon !
