Yep I do - I think it's the running through cramp that's done it. Yesterday I couldn't get my heels down on the floor in a standing position.
I did the Calderdale Hike a fortnight ago (37 miles) and my legs are much worse now than they were then.

    Me too Moo.

I'm not doing any running this week and will just be doing cycling next week. From what's happened to me in the past, rushing back into it when you think you've recovered makes you more vulnerable to injury.

Also there was a hill about 100 yards from the end requiring a reascent of at least 10 feet. This was unreasonably cruel!

Don't feel guilty Moo. Just enjoy the rest. I haven't run either yet. Going for my first 2.5m trot tomorrow

Unusually, it was a real challenge for me on SundayI felt pretty pushed (crap) energy wise all the way round. I don't know whether that was because of the heat, because I was reasonably quick up PyG or what. I cannot say I really enjoyed the race too much. Pleased to have knocked lots off my time but I do feel that I could have done something differently! My legs were absolutely shattered at the end and I felt exhausted rather than elated.

The big question is whether I will do it again next year??????? ( probably...)

Me too. Isn't that how you're supposed to feel? When I left the field I tried to get over the style by the bridge. Made a right pigs ear of it. Reckon I'll be back next year work permiting

Well you were going like the clappers down PyG that's for sure. Relax, you did a very good time and were pretty close to your predicted time if I remember rightly. Time for a bit of a breather now.

    Woof!

I am absolutely wacked. There is something seriously wrong with my calf muscles, I've never felt like this before. I expect it may take 2-3 weeks before I can run properly again. I agree with Crowhill, it must be the running with cramp that did it. Last year I did the 3 Peaks with a slower time (although the final descent was faster) and was back on the track 2 days later banging out 400s, and racing the following weekend. This year it's a totally different story!
