i like this...short and sweet
Interpetation
Somewhere within your loving look I sense,
Without the least intention to deceive,
Without suspicion, without evidence,
Somewhere within your heart the heart to leave.

Sigh............
Absence
I have scarcely left you
When you go in me, crystalline,
Or trembling,
Or uneasy, wounded by me
Or overwhelmed with love, as
when your eyes
Close upon the gift of life
That without cease I give you.
My love,
We have found each other
Thirsty and we have
Drunk up all the water and the
Blood,
We found each other
Hungry
And we bit each other
As fire bites,
Leaving wounds in us.
But wait for me,
Keep for me your sweetness.
I will give you too
A rose.

Aww...you can't beat a bit of the Pablo romance! I have, thanks to a certain haiku King, a copy of The Essential Neruda.
It may have been posted before, but this one I like very much:
Twenty Love Poems 7
Leaning into the evenings
Leaning into the evenings I throw my sad nets
to your ocean eyes.
There my loneliness stretches and burns in the tallest bonfire,
arms twisting like a drowning man's.
I cast red signals over your absent eyes
which lap like the sea at the lighthouse shore.
You guard only darkness, my distant female,
sometimes the coast of dread emerges from your stare.
Leaning into the evenings I toss my sad nets
to that sea which stirs your ocean eyes.
The night birds peck at the first stars
that twinkle like my soul as I love you.
Night gallops on her shadowy mare
scattering blue wheat stalks over the fields.
Stef this poem is one of my all time fave's and has great sentimental value to me................................................ .............................................
interestingly i always thought it was leaning into the afternoons.......
Leaning in a bookshop
now defunct
a seed began to germinate
Freedom.
As i take my first steps into a brave new world,
i feel the decades of mental pain and self torture,
remove itself from me like a rattlesnakes skin,
how could i look myself in the eye.
Calypso flows into my heart and nestles me in her bosom,
i am safe after all this time when i thought she could no longer,
hear the truth in my heart that will last eternally,
we are stardust,we are love,we are one.
By Herakles.
