The Grough stuff is pretty good. Well written article and some nice pictures.

Did a hardish training session on the hills yesterday and Brett's race today, which just goes to show, I should have run faster at the main event (still felt pretty knackered today, though)

It certainly is a well written article with great pics. I think my legs have recovered now, gonna give my track session tonight a miss though. Bluebell Trail race on Sunday at Halifax o.k. for that I think.

I managed an 8 mile run on Monday and have done nothing since. My colleagues at work think its funny when I'm going up and down hills. My quads are still hurting but I'm going to be trying a session tonight which could be interesting.

Last year I did the 3 Peaks with a slower time (although the final descent was faster) and was back on the track 2 days later banging out 400s, and racing the following weekend. This year it's a totally different story!
Ay up Pike, my calves are sore too.

I was wondering if it was because the ground was so hard this year. Apart from the bottom of Whernside everywhere was bone dry, which led to fast times but sore calves

    Cheers, Ali

    Me too

I wish i had have worn road shoes like the first three runners home - that extra cushioning would have meanti could be running again. Off for a massage tonight, see if that gets the calves back to normal before a big weekend's running in the lakes and the Fellsman the week after .

Managed a trot round Fairfield this evening. Legs felt tired climbing but it's loosened them up a little.

BTW the rocket boots (new silver/yellow Inov8 trail shoes) I wore for the 3P's worked a treat. Just a couple of small blisters but feet otherwise OK. Saw a couple of Holmfirth runners with them too.

Windermere marathon next - better dust my road shoes off and give them an airing.
