Brilliantly organised race that, the food, the marshalls, the course, the weather....perfect!

Good to meet Scott B for the first time yesturday...as well as all the poets.....and the navigator -very brieftly!. Arrived rather early with the master (thankyou once more george) who was doing the TWA so had a nice lounge-around before the race.

Big big thanks to daz h!......dragged me from dale head tarn to cat bells.....legs where dead just before cat bells but managed a good descent off the top to the finish.
Legs full-on cramped up on the road coming into the finish but thats all part of the fun isnt it.

Good effort everyone, good to have a chat with plenty of forumities....well chuffed to get under 2hrs!

Photos the other half took from Catbells yesterday. Apologies if you are not on them. Battery went on the camera. Doh !

My first ever DNF. Cramp near the top of Robinson. Slid back down on my arse once I realised that it was over with a painful run/walk back to the start to see the winners coming in. Great day though. Back next year with a proper warm up this time

You took a lot of catching, I was impressed.
Couldnt sadly follow you off Catbells as my knee wasnt playing ball. Great race and I couldnt think of a better person to run the race with.
I checked my watch at the turn at Maiden Moor and we was bang on time. So I knew we was on for sub 2hrs easy.
Next year you can get me round under 1.51 so I can get a PB
Thanks AL , well done mate

Well done Al & Daz. You two came past me just after Dale Head tarn. It was amazing (and a bit demoralising!) the pace that you Waltzers came past us trudging TWAers !!!

If he was in a CVFR vest that was probably Gary Parker. He was a little ahead of Anne at that stage.
