What fabulous weather too.
My first lakes race and man that was tough!
My legs were shot after THAT climb up Robinson! Struggled on all the inclines thereafter. Need to do some musclebuilding exercises me thinks.
I was pleased to get within my 3 hour target at 2.55. (although secretly hoping for 2.30! ) Need get more practise on the hills and get faster for sure!
Great to see everyone....the usual suspects DJ and AK, Emmi and Daz, Turbo,.....Harry HH and Al well done on your cracking runs! Good to see Freckle (sorry you got lost...I feel awful for going off now! But it was a case of head down and keep moving!)
Met Skennaugh for the first time and also Pudgy looking very relaxed on catbells.
Herakles....well done for doing your best Matt...you were brave...sorry to hear you didn't get round....there's plenty more out there waiting for you though

Hi MG, I saw you come in at the Anni but didn't get a chance to say Hi. You were looking good though and hopefully we'll catch up at Fairfield. Where did you go wrong hun? Did you go all the way down the walkers route to the bottom of Catbells???
I had better say....YES...it is highly possible to take the wrong route off the top of Fairfield!

don't think I'll make Fairfield - probably be doing the more local (to me) Mount Famine, or if I can swing another pass-out past Lady Slugge I'll probably head for Snowdonia for Moel Eilio
Fairfield is a cracker though - you'll definitely need to train for the long descent
and it's very easy to go wrong on the way down - the year I did it one guy ended up in Ambleside! (not me, honest!)
