Thread: Three Peaks Fell Race

    Re: Three Peaks.

First time for me. Never been to Yorkshire, let alone seen any of the peaks before. Had one of the best day's out ever. Meet some wonderful people. Thanks to everyone who I spoke to. Took me over an hr to do the first 10k, but ended up at 4:29, which I'm well chuffed with. Will be back next year, but will remember the suntan lotion next time. Are there any other pic's from the race as I'm either too slow or too ugly to feature on the 900plus that was on the link.

Good event, something I've fancied for a while and I can see the hullabaloo around the race is justified. Like the cx version, it's probably one to be endured rather than relished. Or maybe, as usual, I was under-prepared

Hope the Air Ambulance call out on Whernside ended well.

I was gutted at not being able to go. The knee would never have survived the first descent. I wonder if they'll keep my T-shirt 'til next year?
Jodg, glad you didn't break anything in your tumble.
The photos do it justice. What an amazing day.

Hope you enjoyed the race Manhar! Great to catch up with all you forumites (as ever) and met Ady and Antisocial for the first time. Hung around to soak up the atmosphere and for Datt to get back.
.....doesn't matter Jodg - after you waltzed past me in the latter stages of Edale Sky - my diary entry for PPP still reads "...stuffed Jodg today...."

Wasn't looking forward to the drive home withthe thought of IanDarkPeaker re-living every moment of his sub 4 achievement but thankfully the road rage fuelled erratic driving of Kingsnail kept his mind on other things.

What a day - I didn't think the extra numbers had a detrimental impact in terms of there being any traffic" at anytime on the course. Can't see any real environmental impact either as the only bit of open fell is the climb of W'side.

Saw Ali Brownlee on his bike at various points on the course - now a tussle between him and Jebby would be a sight to see.

I was on a solid 3:59:59 pace to the top of W'side and then sore feet and the odd twinge turned me into the world's poorest descender. Stormed up Inglebugger only for the same dogs*it descending to follow. Change of footwear needed for next year me thinks.

PPP or London a tough choice.........

Slander once again from the ginger whinger. If he put some propper training in instead of splashing around in the shallow end of the pool he might get a bit faster....

    Racing tonight GW?

London/PPP thats no question to ask on here.......

What a poor do that a small cluster of extremely ignorant runners and spectators failed to observe the one minute silence prior to the start.

    When was that?

I can't remember the minutes silence but started right at the front and the guy on the speaker was pretty hard to hear
