Me too; the PA was laughably not up to the job, i simply couldn't hear it at all from my pos'n on the lhs, halfway back.

Had a good race; not done before so guessed at 4h30, based on Tour of Pendle/Edale Skyline times. Managed to get round in 4h20, with two bouts of quad cramp.

Used my F-lite230 race shoes that i usually use for road training; had some doubts before the start but they were absolutely spot on. Flew down whernside, managed to pass most of the better climbers that had already passed me!

All credit to the organisers (apart from the PA problems); all seemed v well organised.

    Wharfeego's video is up.

Not able to watch it at work so would appreciate a Barry Norman style review from anyone who can.

Will redeem myself by pointing out the series of videos by Dave Gowans taken at the start and Ribblehead

No, no. Nightmare. Just seen myself on Dave's video at Ribblehead and I was walking. At a brisk pace, but walking nevertheless, the ignomy of it.

Forgot to mention; thumbs down to the burger chef. Mine was almost inedible, having been cooked to death. The £2 race number was much better spent at the pavilion where it bought a cup of tea, three bags of crisps and a twix!

A mate of mine gave his burger to a dog, it wolfed it down then promptly chucked it back up again!!
