Saw quite a few black and red birds with 6-7 inch long red narrowish beak as I went through thr Trough of Bowland today - any ideas what they were?

Cycling home from work last night...I saw a rabbit.
It had an DEEEEEEEMOLISHED by something...guts bloody (no pun intended) EVERYWHERE.
Mr Fox from the other night will be pleased, roadkill for supper.
Well it was gone this morning so Mr Fox must have found it. Never really been a fan of foxes...they killed all my hens once!
Real treat tonight. Golden Plover on upper slpoes of Great Whernside
