The Marian is the village green I think, by a big field where they play cricket, from what I can remember, & there's a stone circle.

Well I emailed that Andrew several times last year, to ask about the cut-off, & he never replied to any email at all.

    Good luck everyone.

If you see me say hi. I'm a blonde bird, & I'll be wearing multi-coloured climbing trousers & a brown Hellrunner t-shirt, with a pink rucksack.

Also looking forward to cader now, eventhough i see it out my bedroom window every morning!! went up last night, course is bone dry even the swamp before you get to Ty Nant. Not sure what the weather is going to do on the day though.
Very Interesting comment in today's Cambrian News (Meirionydd's weekly paper).

"Colin Donnelly is still the race's record holder at 1:21:18. Apparently a well renowned Welsh International runner has thrown down the gauntlet and said, "My aim is to come and smash the course record of Ras y Gader and other fell races in wales this year"
    Wonder who said that??

Good luck with that one!! that'll be a hell of a fast time.
Anyhow hope everyone has a brilliant run and enjoy.

the only welsh runner i can think of who`s capable of doing that is Tim Davies.he has been getting back to form this year.the weather should be cool enougth ,so it`ll be very interesting.

Oh yes! Tim is awsome, so is Rich Roberts and Math Roberts.
Tim did suffer in the heat at Llety as did I. So cooler conditions will favour him as it will myself. But cant see me come within 8 minutes of the record to be honest so I'm not even dreaming about it ;-) I have my goal to aim for time wise so I'll stick to that. £250 up for grabs for the record though plus first prize, could be a very rewarding day for someone.

Some repair work done to the path after Rhiw Gwredydd (cut off point), nice to run up but it'll be like wet slab on the descent and you can carry some speed down that section belive me :-)
Checked the forecast now, looks like a wetish one with low cloud as is the norm for Cader so much cooler with no potential of siteseeing :-)

I went up on Sunday for a pre race recce, the path looks like it had some work done and looks like a healthy weather report for tomorrow, a little damp. All the best everyone, I'm expecting big things from the gafr, top 10??. See you in the river afterwards.

Good luck everyone. Forecast doesn't look too bad - seems to be clearing up a bit in the afternoon.

Look forward to seeing all you speedy types flying past while I'm still slogging my way to the top

Just packing the car now. Camping over in Llyn Gwynant so making a weekend of it :-)

Really looking forward to this race...need to bury a few demon's!

hitting the road last year on the way down killed me.....think of the BBCs footage of someone struggling on the Mall in the London Marathon - that was me last year...god know's where my legs went! The last 2 miles were HELL!

see ya all there - bright yellow Skem top :-)

    Good luck to all.
