    Tough luck on the injury.

Not having done this one before, a couple of questions:

What are the checkpoints? Presumably Harter Fell, Hardknott, Little Stand, Three Shires, Dow Crag, Caw?
Can you use your own dibber? I'm assuming they use the Sports Ident system.
Are there any cutoff times? If so where and what time?

If you see a (cough) slightly large, bald chap in a close fitting Ilkley vest, that'll be me.

    Don't forget the suncream Bob.

I'll see you there; we can jog round towards, if not at, the rear.

Forecast for Saturday is 63F which seems reasonably civilised. I'll have the cream of CV in my car - hope they're not expecting me to fly round

Anybody know if the camp site at Duddon takes the tin tent variety (caravan)? if so any name would help?

They may do, though it's a tight squeeze through the farmyard to get in so it may depend on the size of the caravan and your driving ability!

Many thanks Bob, just rang the lady very very helpful, but they do not take Vans no worries may have to be tent.

    Re: Duddon - 5th June 2010

I'm torn as to whether to use a Camelbak or not for this - when I reccied it with Manhar it was hot hot hot and I was very glad I had it - drank at least four litres plus 2 pints of coke after! It ain't going to be much cooler tomorrow by the looks of things and there's no too much water on the way round - the stream between Hard Knott and Little Stand isn't really any good, so if it's dry it's only really Gaitscale Gill you can top up from. Reckon I've just talked myself into using a Camelbak!

Daz - cheers for the PM, I'll aim to get there at the same time and find you in the car park.
