This should make you feel better then....

10 minutes easy on a treadmill last night. (first run since op.) Had to stop after 2 minutes this morning. I hate treadmills!

I'm going to run around a field later.

Usual slow distance stuff over the weekend, must concentrate on speed work and hill reps for the next week.

Out for a couple of runs with a few mates over the week-end - nothing too strenuous but I know someone who needs to improve on his road running - it was only 10 miles, how hard could that be?

About 9 miles along the sea front at Los Alcazares in Spain.
Temperature around 27 C at 10am. Pure blue sky.
Pity they have no real ale here.

Swoop thats me and thee out in the sunshine. Im over here in New Hampshire USA and yes the only downside here is also the lack of real ale. What is the matter with these people!!

Track again last night - not used to this. Its hard and boring but it does improve speed.

You gits. It's pishing down here! Enjoy the sun chaps.

One mile swim today ... in the pool. Had toyed with the sea but the rain and thunder made it very uninviting.

    Re: Today's Training

Pav - lucky you - although it will be hot. I travelled out to the Middle East for five years and ran in some beautiful places. If you have time then rent a car and escape the heat and bluster of Dubai; head over to the East Coast and there are mountains (well, BIG hills) offering some very challenging terrain. You can also get in to the Musandem Peninsula (part of Oman) and run in some amazing scenery. I used to run from the sea up the hills then back to the sea and wade in for a cooling dip. Also good terrain around Hatta on the Oman border. Enjoy!
