I was timed out on Gable missed it by about 10 mins I think (hard to workout with the late start) as I caught up with the marshalls when they were descending to Sty Head. I then dropped back into Wasdale from Sty head after talking to a couple of safety marshalls to make sure all who got through Pillar had been accounted for.

What time did you go thorugh Pillar Alf?

I think I was about 3 mins late at Pillar and I was the last one through before they closed it.

i had bruised my right heel at Stirton on the wednesday before. ~i started Wasdale but was hobbling at the back so abandoned at Greendale (watched by Joss as I was explaining to the marshall) so jogged down the road back to the start as a form of punishment ~(despite the kind offers of lifts from marshalls)
really want to nail this race next year come what may!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There goes my excuse then. I'll have to fall back on the fact that it was a bit foggy.

I was behind Wendy Dodds for most of the way from Esk Hause and she was talking to a guy about how the previous weekend she had spent three days doing the Tour de Mont Blanc. I don't know much about international courses but it sounded tough.
