What a race! Yes i agree about 6 miles too long for me too! The water at the top of the big climb was most welcome!
Thanks to all the organisers!

The Noor was 4th - brilliant!
I think that's a race that I'm glad I've done so I can say I've done it, and not go back! Sorry! Really well organised, but I ran out of steam big style.
Really pleased for Karl, he looked strong at Laddow and managed to catch the loads in front I thought maybe top five but that's excellent... Any news on other cvfr runners
A few photos from a wet and windy Crowden are uploading on the link below for anyone that is interested. Looked a tough race in the conditions - particularly the ascent of Laddow Rocks!

Fantastic race!
Thanks very much to all involved. I haven't done that race or even run that far before but other than a dodgy spell between 12 & 13 miles I absolutely loved it and surprised meself with a 3:32.
Sure I wasn't alone in that and hope you all had a great run too!![]()
I also enjoyed most of it. I got to the marshals on the final road and they said "about a mile to go". "Great," I thought "if I can do a ten minute mile I'll beat 3:10". But as it happened my last mile took 12 minutes (on a flat road)!!
I still beat my target time, and just sneaked into the top 100. But it'll take a lot of training until I'm as good on long stuff as I am on the short ones.
On that note, I agree with a few others, it's too long. I'll have a chat with the organisers and see if there's anything they can sort out for next year.
Great sandwiches, tea and cake.
It was nice to meet Ernie, and presumably Stagger, in the registration queue.
Cracking pics Richard - what were you using?
