Good to see so many of you there though and that made up for it alittle.

I think I got fed up explaining about my dicky ticker but heres an update. I ended up spending the night in Sheffields Northern General Hospitals Cardiac Ward after the condition I had during the start of the race continued through the day I felt like a pin cushion with needles and electrodes all over my body. I had Atrial fibrillation Any how they pumped me full of drugs and was well enough to come home a short while ago. I won't be racing though for a week or two....maybe:wink:
I hope all's well with your ticker now IDP. I was thinking it was strange to not see you pass me.

All the best, Ian. Had that in 1990, your heart feels like it's turned into a butterfly caught in a net curtain. Nothing to do but stop before you faint.

Thanks, I did try to persuade some of the members on that site who run to come down, but no!, I was the only one daft enough

Ahh, I think you passed me on top of 'the Moss' (was 'in a world of my own' by that time), I take it this is you?

Glad you liked it, I tried to be honest & accurate, & hopefully a bit funny
Sadly, our own Club forum is down at the moment, or you'd get to read some really scathing responses
(some can't understand why I run, when I've got several perfectly good bikes)

(where I mentioned the height of Laddow, it was someone I know who phoned me up last night to see how I'd fared who told me how high he thought they were)

I'll give you your royalties at the race next year!

Keep smiling Ian and Best Wishes mate. I've just got back from Hospital, my young lad has broken his wrist in two places and is just waiting for an operation. Had to come home and sort the daughter and hound out while wife stays with him overnight. Poor little fella, no way to start the school holidays, he was smiling when i left him though

You might have told me before I got in the car with you! I thought your driving to the start was a little "erratic"...

Seriously though matey, hope you'll be fine Ian and not let it spoil your holiday too much!
