18m to work this morning. Worked hard in to a good NW head breeze. Just 65 minutes.

Same 18 mile home only with more climb.

Legs are tired. Tomorrow can be a rest day and Friday will have to be work and back on old bike.
Need to keep pushing to gain the fitness I strive for.

Regular Tuesday night training partner back from his hols; from Hesketh Lane into Chipping, Chaigley, :thumbup:BIRDEY BROW:thumbup: then along the full spine of Longridge Fell via the New Drop Inn down the S side of the reservoirs then up the N side of the reser and down onto Chipping Lane back to Hesketh Lane. About 1 hr 20 min. Less mileage than usual but chuffed to beat the big climb.

Chaingang last night... as still on a rest period after the track champs, I went with the medium group... avg 27 mph, avg HR 143 bpm... result!

Racing a two day stage race this weekend and officially back training on Friday... think I will have a rest today

Good hilly blast last night into Whaley Bridge, up to Windgather/Pym's Chair, down to Errwood Reservoir, nasty climb out and then back via Long Hill and Chapel... some nasty sidewinds and bumped into Rob Hayles going in opposite direction. 33km/606m in 1:09 with a few traffic light pauses.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

was asked the other night by my neighbour who has purchased another boardman roadbike
( Daz howd you line up the bars, they are not parallel with the wheel when im riding)

So I told him and he laughed.

    Eye them up mate.
Well he said he wasnt very good at eyeing stuff up.

Right in that case you will want the old mechanics way of doing it.
Simple just get a 12" ruler. Loosen your bar stem, now place the ruler endways on your bars at the side of the stem. The ruler will now be sticking out in front of the bars running in line with your front wheel. Its now acting as a set square off your bars. Simply line up with the wheel and tighten.
Perfectly aligned. Another tip passed on.
