With a bit of luck, I will be behind the derny next week, on an outdoor track, to see how fast I can actually go, behind the bike... will be interesting to see. Wonder what gear I shall put on for this... 91.8? That is what I use for pursuiting... Ant thoughts Daz?
Work and back. Another 36 mile
Fell off due to cleat sticking in pedal, got soaked and picked up front puncture.
Fine on way home, kept dry, tall wind and remained upright.
Legs feel tender in the quads and calfs, should I rest till the pain goes or just work through it doing steady sessions?
Last 2 weeks have been 5 rides with 110 miles on the board. 5 rides is work and back twice and a longer ride at weekends.
A good 50 today, most of it seemed to be into a head wind! Still, stomped up the Rhigos in my quickest time of (this) comeback. Spoilt only slightly by being crushed by a flying Pinarello rider on the lower reaches of the climb, pausing briefly to say "hi" he then cruised off at Mach 5, resplendant in full Sky regalia, Big G perhaps..... Blimey, these guys can shift.....I thought I was having a good climb! Anyway, 16.5 ave and feeling goodafter a very fast ride home

Got bike back after service. Hit every gear 1st time, brakes felt better and no juddering when braking.
The mechanic has done a good job.
Oh almost forgot, 35 mile just steady on a pleasent hilly ride with 2 good friends.
Stagger
You have indeed Mr & Mrs Stagger
Been out racing with the old codgers this weekend, i.e. an LVRC 2 day stage race. Great fun, great banter and even better racing... Only woman again, as usual... and where is chivalry? I mean, the young lads I usually race againts in the 3rd/4th cat races, you can't expect them to have manners, youth of today, but the vets should still know how to be gentlemen... Were they? No way! They were very happy to let me do most of the work at the front grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Mind, excellent 3 peaks training... I went out with my fave man for another two hours steady after the prize giving...
I am now in the posession of an interesting set of tanlines, as my new club's shorts and sleeves are shoretr than my old clubs... AND I was wearing team kit for the ride, which has the same short length as my old club, but different sleeves yet again :-O
Tried obliterating the funny white hand look from my mits by riding without, but they still look a tad pale![]()
77miles into the peak district and after 4 pints of cider last night I suffered like a dog. Managed the arduous climb up to riber though. The one that has 2 hairpins and is very steep![]()
