    That was great!

I got too carried away on the road though and had no legs left for the fell.

We had a great day ... a good weekend actually. Camped overnight at Hawkswick, both races on Saturday, beer and food at Kilnsey Tennant Inn then on Sunday a nice hike up through Hubberholme, Yockenthwaite and up over Buckden Pike via the pub at Cray. Lovely weather for it, me poor swad got a bit sunburned!

As far as the race went, well, I think I also got a bit carried away on the road race. Did the first mile way too fast and hated it from about 2.5 to the end. Fell race was short and sweet, didn't have much left in my legs for the fight though.

BL - did I see you limping a bit? I wasn't far behind you at the end, so I'm thinking you were either a) really knackered or b) injured in some way. Hope you're OK!

Glad I was able to help her - she was pretty distressed at the time. Give her my congratulations.

Still limping a bit from Holme Moss in July when I went over on my left ankle. However, just got back from camping in Langdale, where I went over on my right ankle coming off Helvellyn, so I should now be nicely balanced. Maybe you'll get me next time!

Nice pictures. I really enjoyed this little race only 1.8 miles but full throttle!
