Good race last night. Warm evening. Firmer underfoot than expected, apart from the second descent of course! Smaller field of runners than usual? Couldn't manage a PB (too many miles in the legs).

My two newbies loved it and will be back for more .

I can't make the last 2010 Trunce because I'll be on holiday, but as always thanks to all the organisers for all their efforts not just last night but throughout the year. Its a pleasure to get over to Oxspring to race it.

    Aiming for 9/9 in 2011.

    Hi Simon

gutted to have missed it but the sun is making up for it, Guess I will have drifted down the tables now

9/9 would be impressive 5-6 as been my best for various reasons.

Try and get a big turn out next Monday, as long as Keith gets beaten I will hold my position in the summer series

    Hi Ian

Not as many brown vests on show as usual last night - saw Mick Stenton but he seemed to be taking it very steady.

Happily, an imminent change in my work situation means that I may well be working closer to Sheffield very soon rather than the other side of Donny. The present commute is a pain in the a*se. Anything from an hour to sometimes two depending on what they've decided to dig up that week. I should therefore soon be running at more club races than I've been able to get to over the last few months ie all of them instead of zero! Especially since shaking off the injury

Hope you are well, enjoy the sun while you can! I think you are holding steady around about 16th / 17th place overall in the Trunce standings. As for the Summer Series well...

Write up of last night on my blog if you are interested.

It's the vets positions that I'm worried about, not so worried about Monday as the crashout attracts quite a few extra runners as it's a DP classic. awaiting the final result with bated breath

Getting plenty of flat stuff in but it's so hot.

    Re: Trunce

See you on Monday evening Andy, as I've made sure that I'm available for this one!

Is it still a fancy-dress run? (even if optional)

If so, I might just manage to convince a few gullible people that I'm really a runner

    Re: Trunce

Some say Monday is compulsory fancy dress and there is even talk of a load of nurses running (someone promised )

All we know is there's a least one bloke in drag .............. :w00t:

Well, I tried to persuade some of ours who run (& some of the Ambulance girls), but to no avail

    Andy
    Is this still relevant??

    Car Park Closure:

The culvert has been finished but we still can not drive over the newly seeded area so registration will be to the left of the slope from the car par. Please do not park in the pub car park, this is for pub customers only.

    Re: Trunce

    Fancy dress is optional.
Oxspring parish council have asked us not to drive over the seeded area.
Weather forecast is good,so the football field should be dry and sound.
Registration will be where it was for the T8 and results will be done in the Rafters bar as for T8.
    See you all Monday
