    (sorry btw Mr photographer)
I don't remember any derogatory comments. I wouldn't be bothered anyway!

I was really looking forward to doing this race but got injured a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't resist getting up in the hills on such a nice day though, and taking pics was a great alternative.

    Re: Sedbergh

I was planning to run today as the next stage of my comeback, but thought it was a little bit tto much in the end. Decided on an easy recce and went out to the Calf with WPette who ran round the base of Winder and up from the west side first.
We planned to stay at the Calf until the first runners came through, but it was bloddy freezing up there, even with the windproofs on, so came back to Sedbergh and watched the top 20 or 20 come in.
I did manage to find the Calders short cut today though - so worth the trip.

Well done everyone - it's a tough run.

Maybe scodler thought you were calling the climb up to the calf a b*stard cos it was in that headwind, you must of looked good no matter how you felt cos the camera never lies

Thanks to the organisors and marshalls - stirling job as ever.

Also thanks to Storyteller and friend and for the offers of various assistance from passers by as I sat in a crumpled delerious heap on a step! Felt rough most of the way round deterioating after each check point, by Calf it was auto pilot survival mode!

Got home to discover my eldest had been in bed all day with a 'bug' so explains why, still rough today .....still just about managed to get some views when the black dots weren't in front of my eyes!!
