Jezz has won by 5 minutes. Fantastic effort. A great win by a great bloke.

UK win in mens and ladies would be great - Lizzy looks to be going well.

Oh dear, I never thought I'd become a passive competitor. First the TDF, now the UTMB. Where will it end?

Well, I'd have to buy a couch AND a television first.

I've just switched on. Jez wins in 26:17 and Lizzy wins in 27:34? Have I got that right?? That is simply awesome if I've understood correctly. What a brilliant result for the UK.

My understanding is Jez Bragg won in 10hrs 30 and Lizzy Hawker in 11hrs47. Bragg was 7 minutes ahead of Mike Wolfe (US) and Hawker 1hr2 ahead of Nere Martinez Urrazola. Hawker was 19th overall. Superb results! What I admire most of all is their terrific resistance to the strains of the aborted first race and a night short of sleep and full of uncertainty.
