Haha, that bog was deep, and i'm nearly 6ft 5! That downhill was sketchy, so many opportunities to fall or slip and cause serious damage.

One guy in front of me went down on it, and i passed, then i repaid the favour going down just before that stupidly steep bit! I was impressed with how my Salomon Speed Cross 2's held up though, just the one slip.

For those of you who have shared a chat or two over the last few months with me, I have some news... I'm going to rebrand. My new name will be

    Hillman Limp

This has taken a whole ad agency 3 months and 3 million dollars (OK I thought about it over a cup of tea).

Hillman Limp formerly known as Langy3366

Hodder Valley Show - 11th Sept

A last minute heads up for this annual fell race. This year it's from Boars Den Farm between Newton in Bowland and Dunsop Bridge; to the trig. point on Burn Fell and back. Also Junior Race. 1.30 p.m. start, allow time to get from parking to registration then to start. It's a BM, so kit will be required for the senior race.
Now off to recce with the RO, will be flagging the route from 4.00pm on Friday.

With that statement you are implying that kit is mandatory in BM races which it isn't.

Did not mean to mislead; but from this venue it is a rather contorted run out across an intervening 'valley' of enclosed land to get to the fell; plus, Saturday's forecast is far from ideal. It is pretty fair to assume that we will be asking competitors to carry basic foul weather kit. This is not just to cover ourselves; the land owners have requested that we submit a risk assessment in order to cover them for events that they have sanctioned on their property. A bit tedious maybe, but the nature of life in the 21st C in an increasingly litigious society

Ian, Yiannis and I were over that way today and I noticed that the tour of Britain will be cycling through. Do you know what time as this could cause issues with parking etc??
