I've booked into the YH in Glen Nevis for the nights before & after the race. Anyone else from the forum going to be there??

I have just bought another book which contains a chapter about the history of this race.
The book contains one of the best histories of this mountain.
The definitive history of this race is:Ben Nevis. Britain's Highest Mountain
by Ken Crocket. Published by Scottish Mountaineering Trust, 1986
ISBN 0907521169
The Ben Race: The Supreme Test of Athletic Fitness
by H. D MacLennan
Publisher: Ben Nevis Race Association (1994)
ISBN-10: 0952445328
...theory - has anyone trained for the Ben by coming off a hard hill descent and doing 10 minutes hard on the road? I lost too much time last year with ma jelly legs.![]()
Time to start the serious Ben training now I think. I note that the current King of the Mountains completed the Old County Tops this weekend in just over 10 hours - now that's some serious training!!
I'll have to beat him by more than 15 secs this year.
Is anyone staying in a camper at the sports centre?
