That's your Fly Agaric, very common all over - probably because nobody picks them to eat! You can eat small amounts (not advised) and they are hallucinogenic, I seem to recall that the myth of Father Christmas started with Scandinavians consuming them somehow and believing they could fly etc. Sounds good to me, better than most Christmases :wink:.
Which leads me onto the true "Magic Mushrooms", there's an enourmous crop of them out on the hills just now, excellent year for them - if so inclined. My sister is now convinced that her horse has gone a bit loopy lately because of the Magic M's it's eating in it's field. I think she could do with a few .
