2010 Entry forms are out: www.halifaxharriers.co.uk/races/entry/calderdale-way-relay-entry-form.doc

    Entry instructions are here: www.halifaxharriers.co.uk/races/entry/calderdale-way-relay-instructions.doc

Again, the start is from North Dean Woods, grid ref 080224. Has anyone been to this location?

Has anyone out there been able to obtain the following recommended literature:
    - The "Calderdale Way Booklet"
    - OS map "SE12 Brighouse"
    - OS map "SE02 Halifax"

Those of us who did the first leg last year ran through this location after about a mile but the start is definitely not there. Cant understand why the pre race instuctions are still giving this incorrect info.

I understand that the entry limit was reached in early October and i know that Bowland have had their cheque returned. Which other clubs
have had their entries knocked back?

Rochdale have been knocked back too. I'm told its only the second time in the race's long history that Rochdale haven't done this race.

The entry system seems unfair if it allows some Clubs to enter many teams, while other Clubs who have supported the event for donkey's years are excluded from entering even one team (just because it took a couple of weeks to get their entry in).

I agree John. It should be one team per category and then spare places opened up to fill it up.
But as with any event its at the Organiser's discression call.
Hope you get a team in through a reserve list.

its sad that it is a first come first served basis,
that means a club that enters 5 teams and sends the entry off the same day takes precious places off for such as rochdale
    whats the answer?
    3 teams per club?
then that means big clubs are penalised and small clubs struggle to get 3 full teams out,
pre entry guaranteed as per placings in brit and english fra team championship?
is there are good fair entry system?

    Re: calderdale way relay

Entries for the Pennine Bridleway Relay open this coming Monday 1st November via the event website, limited to 95 teams which includes teams from the host club.......no limit to the number of teams a club can enter, first come first served although I will consider other failed entries ( Clubs who have supported the event since its inception etc which may involve extending the limit although 95 teams is already pushing it )
