Day 45
Bad day, today
Had appointment two weeks ago, could not see the consultant who operated on me as he was on holiday, saw his junior, (very nice man i must add), but when i saw him he said when you come back (ie today) next time bring a shoe.
I have just got back totally deflated i saw the consultant who carried out the operation, and he said in no uncertain terms i must not weight bear.
he says that after my next operation, in 3 weeks i should be ok to start putting weight down. as i was going he said to me Mr Taylor please remember how bad the injury was, one in four would have lost the foot with infection.
I know i know i should be very pleased that pot is off and i am moving forward but i was expecting to be able to at least drive, i am still reliant on others to go anywhere, which is a pain with work!
On a positive note (which i must try and remain positive) my pot is off, i was just expecting a little more today.:thunbdown:
