Road runners do aqua jogging when injured, so maybe you could try running down waterfalls. Just a thought
I sympathise with you, when I had an ankle op I was in a cast of some description for 8 weeks and had to get picked up and dropped off at work as well as being helped doing everything. Going to the shop was fun when I could finally get out on the crutches to buy some junk food, until I bought a bag of goodies and realised how difficult it was to carry a bag and use crutches at the same time. It's frustrating but necessary, good luck with the recovery
Day 45
Bad day, today
Had appointment two weeks ago, could not see the consultant who operated on me as he was on holiday, saw his junior, (very nice man i must add), but when i saw him he said when you come back (ie today) next time bring a shoe.
I have just got back totally deflated i saw the consultant who carried out the operation, and he said in no uncertain terms i must not weight bear.
he says that after my next operation, in 3 weeks i should be ok to start putting weight down. as i was going he said to me Mr Taylor please remember how bad the injury was, one in four would have lost the foot with infection.
I know i know i should be very pleased that pot is off and i am moving forward but i was expecting to be able to at least drive, i am still reliant on others to go anywhere, which is a pain with work!
On a positive note (which i must try and remain positive) my pot is off, i was just expecting a little more today.:thunbdown:

Steve when you get a little stronger why not have a word with your TL on the Quiet, you could be a surprise "body" for a team Ex. I'm sure that would cheer you up and cause much merriment if not more pi55 taking.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that you have had a bit more of a delay than you had hoped this week :thunbdown: BUT that hoof needs to be well and truly ready or a delay may turn into a set back which would be much worsererer.

Yet more Fecking frustration:
Can not describe how S%^& this is, after my last appointment on the second of Nov the consultant said that in 2 max 3 weeks i would be back in for the operation to remove bolts that go through Tib and Fib, we will inform you by letter.
to day after the post had been still nothing, so i rang the hospital to see when i would be in________
The lady had no record of me.
She said that she would see the consultant today and let me know when i can be fitted in:
29 th of fecking November is the best date they can do, the care has been fantastic its just they are so bloody busy that they just can't give the care and attention to detail that is needed it seems nothing to most that an extra two weeks is not bad but i have a business to run i cant drive cant weight bear its just shit
