Ian, I've got an OS map, but did you manage to find a route map online ? I've searched the net to no avail.

No, got emailed a section of an os map that covers pendle and will plot the course on from the gr's given on the entry form. I can email that if you want it?

Looking forward to the finish, not trained enough, ate too many pies, drunk too much cider and smerked too many tabs, going to suffer big style, should be a good day out

That might be because CP1 has been moved further west from earlier years.
When it was further east then the route on the Harvey map (and the .pdf I found) was the obvious choice, but now there would seem to be a choice.

I even wonder whether it would be better to climb to CP1 up Ogden Clough (which is marked on the 1:25000 map). It seems a bit longer but doesn't climb as high...

Looks like we have the same coach, but what's a tab (other than carrying a heavy bergen over a big hill)?

As a Pendle novice I'm really looking forward to the "Unrunnable climbs" that I've heard about

I believe there are 6 main climbs so which are the unrunnable ones ? Please somebody don't say all of them !
