Is it worth asking Clair to do a map with the out of bounds areas marked on it? I'm happy to email her.
There would be a bit of variety to had, if at the top of Torside you head across the moor towards Dowstone Clough and then up through the Flying Fortress. Given the number of people who have been recceing Wildboar this year, I would guess the moor crossing is less worn than in previous years.
i am a little disillusioned about this race now. When I first entered there seemed to be several options regarding route choice, now it is fairly clear there is one route (the first half of the 4 Inns with a different start point) with everyone being guided along the same funnels, turning it into a 20 mile follow my leader.
Don't be disillusioned SFG, it never was a free for all in the sense of a nav. event. it's still a grand day out.
What time does it start?
I agree with Tom Brunt's earlier comments about the rerouting, even so more now and to be honest do feel a bit disgruntled.
