    Re: Today's Training

15 k 200m decided on a steady run up Dukes drive to Back tor and back. lots of snow and ice with a clear sky above. Almost warm on the way out but when I turned around I realised I'd been running with the wind giving me 7.5k back into the biting NE-ly winds.

One of the clearest days I can remember for along time, as I approached Back tor I saw 2 walkers pouring over a map next to the Trig. Lovely day I said, yes they replied and then asked me where they were as They were lost!

Today's training... Was a race! (kind of).

Did Charlie Leventon's Little Stretton to Stiperstones time trial with Paul Flinn as a pair. First time I've tried this (either the event or the pair thing) and it worked out well with ultimately q decent time for me. The important thing was that it got me out on a fabulous day with some great company.

There was about an inch or so of snow pretty evenly across the course and some water ice here and there too.

    Lovely day though.

A nice ten and a bit from Langset blue gates car park, up cut gate, down past the quarries then up Cranberry clough to Cranberry Ness, then straight up between High stones and Wilferry, along to Margery Hill & back to the car park. Around 2100 feet up and down and -10 on the car thermometer when we set off!
