It should have been the assembled fellrunners, me included, who felt embarrassed. What a pathetic rendition of "Happy Birthday' it was! You'd have thought that at least we could have finished the song. Perhaps not everyone was secure with the words.

It looked like a good turnout. Anyone know how many took part this year? I forgot to check the results board.
James Logue did brilliantly to threaten the record in conditions that (with a touch of understatement) could be described as 'damp and breezy'.

And there's me thinking you were the expert on singing Happy Birthday.

The turnout was great - 112 runners with one DNF.

James did fantastic and won by about five minutes.
