Very tempted by Fairmile as I happen to be in the Lakes that weekend. Pleased about that.

So the races are pretty much 5 miles?

The flat ones will be, but Fairmile has a good bit of climbing. From Howgill lane between Sedbergh and Tebay to Linghaw and Fell Head. A lovely horseshoe.

Just a quick couple of questions on Fairmile..

Is the route pretty much marked? Won't have time for a recce of any sort you see (just seen this has been answered earlier - yes, courses marked)

Also, does anyone know the approximate distance? Just wanted to know what to expect.

not sure of the distance in miles but if you look at previous results you'll get a good idea of how long you might be out on the fell.
