I'm afraid we couldn't field our strongest team, but it was a choice of get out there and have a go, or skulk about at home. I hear that Morgz & Chris Steele displayed awesome form, but as we all know, fell races are won by a mixture of speed, route knowledge and guile. They had the speed!! The rest of us enjoyed our trip out - we have been pretty long standing supporters of the PBR, and as they say, it ain't about the winning, it's the taking part that matters. Although winning is quite nice! Congratulations Salford. Next year!

Aye, route knowledge...im sure if Salford and others came out to play at the Hodgson it would be firmly in your advantage

As one of the pair that got lost on leg 1 last year, I'm not sure that we don't get our fair share of luck as well!!!

I think one or two other teams went walkabout on Leg 2 as well. I was running for Clayton Vets B (first B team again btw!) and i had it calculated as dropping four places, but the results show us dropping just two. Maybe I'm wrong (we passed a few and got passed also, so it did get a bit confusing) but i reckon a few teams took the long road home!! Sale dropped 21 places; either they were in the wrong team or had a seriously bad day out.

One of the Sale runners hasn't been too well of late. Explains the big drop in time and placing. Infact, the B team for Sale were quicker on leg 2!!! But you don't know this stuff until it's too late to make changes or do anything about it. Well done to Gaz and Greeny on getting round leg 2.

You'll need to explain this Tom as I am an idiot. If you are talking about CVFR b team then i think they were 11mins or so behind the lead times..
It was James shouted them back, they only lost a few secs, I was busy trying to breathe
