Met Office forecast for Saturday: 14 mph winds & rain. Perfect. Should be nice & boggy.
This is my first time at this one - is there anywhere to leave spare kit/change of clothes at the start? I'm assuming so, must be quite a few who have to travel back on public transport besides myself.
Don't know if the whiplash has settled enough to run it yet but mapped the route out anyway. Blimey it's complicated in places isn't it!!!
Does anyone know what 'light refreshment' are provided en route? Is it just water or do they provide sarnies and stuff??
Also, does anyone know about parking? It mentions in the info about the retail park does anyone know how far away that is and other parking options?

Retail park is pretty close and you can't miss it. Loads of space too. The school is just across the road and opposite the leisure centre (about 5 mins away).
As regards the refreshment, they usually have cake, biscuits, sweets etc as well as hot and cold drinks at several points. Ilkley and Burley checkpoints are the main ones, although the early one at Baildon normally has biscuits and drinks as a minimum.
Take a mug or bottle too. Although they usually have a few disposable cups for emergencies, its good LDWA etiquette.
There's good refeshments on the way round and a hot meal at the end. You can leave your bags at the church hall. The route looks complicated on paper but it's fine really and unless you're going to win it you should have plenty of experienced company on the way round. There aren't many parking options. The retail pk by McDonalds is best and only a few minutes walk. Looks like it's going to be wet and windy. See you there and have fun!!
