High Peak Marathon

Glad to join team 'The Lazy Pie Eaters', thought I'd get some practice in tonight, so have just finished a 'Steak & Ale', very tasty.

First Face Book and now the Forum, All this technology. How can you cope! Best get some recces in Dave. esp over Bleaklow. I know you know parkin clough. although for the life of me I can't understand any one doing hill reps up there.....

From the recce times I think we'll get round in 11-12hrs. Would prefer if you've done the event before or know the route well.

...the Dark Peak is VERY gloopy....slip slide away all you bog trotters!!!! If it doesn't freeze then the race will be interesting in terms of pace! Good luck all.

Yup, I can confirm it is definitely not frozen up there, just slushy, wet, boggy and 'orrid.
