I've had a quick look at the website, and I can't see any underwater quad bikes listed.

Hi all, I hope to see some of you Friday. I'm a member of the Gixerjunnkies team, this will be our first HPM. We have recce'd the whole course, our last one was in the snow two weeks ago which made seeing the flagstones tricky but we got round with out any wrong turns. Those pete bogs are special, I went in up to my backside on one occasion.

    **SOME USEFUL INFORMATION FOR RUNNERS**

After a chat with the Race organisors Woodhead MRT have offered to be "in the vicinity" on Friday night, they will be out on the course running a night navigation excerise followed by a high level bivvy and hopefully an exercise search in the Early hours.

This is to give you some warning that you may see torches off route. They will be in groups of at least 5 in full MR kit(hi vis taped jackets etc) with big packs and moving slowly. There will be 3 sections(groups) out. should you need help due to an accident you can call 999 or the RO or if you can see one of the parties you can contact or signal them in the usual manor.

They will only be along the route between Abbey Brook to Swains head, It's quite possible you won't see them at all but rest assured they are out there enjoying the night just like you....

Any Q's please let me know

Sounds a bit bonkers to me! surely there are others places to be for such an exercise and not on or too near the race route?

Weather looking surprisingly good for a HPM. if it would only dry out underfoot.

We're looking for a runner as one of our team has dropped out with a calf injury. We've come in the top 3 in the last few years and are hoping to get round in the 9 to 9.5 hour timeframe. If you're interested in running that sort of time and looking for a step out on Friday night in the mud, please PM me or reply to this thread.

The three people we do have in the team are me (Martin Beale), Tim Laney and Martin Humphreys. We think we're a sociable group of guys!

Martin, PM sent, I'm unlikely to get round in those times but happy to stand in as a reserve of last resort if you can't find a faster runner, PM sent with contact info. STEVE
