    Just quit my job....

Supposed to be back at the bar working, but last night I felt like I'd had enough, and told the manager I was quitting. He was annoyed when I said I wasn't going to cover the two weeks I'd intially said I was going to do (just had enought of the sh1t, exploitation and the way that working there was f@cking up my health). He was well pissed off when I said I was only there for the money (!!!!???!!! This is the guy who gets stressed when he isn't getting the money over the counter quickly enough, grabs back every penny at every opportunity, and I who has taken 1/2 hours pay off his staff just cos they had a quiet night and were finished clearing up 1/2 hour early.)

I am so glad I'm out of there!! Haven't got a job to go to, but tell you what it feels like a whole weight has been taken off my mind!!! Be spending a lot more time on my bike now!!!... :-)

Well done Allan. Worst thing a person can do is stay where they aren't happy. Some people I work with winge constantly about how they hate working there yet they've stuck it for 20 years. Whats that all about?

So wot you gonna do next then?

Chris finishes his job on the 15th June.

I'm not sure I can handle being a pauper. Who's going to pay for my nails being done?

I hope he's not expecting me to work.

It's not fair! I want to quit my job, but with no one else working who's going to fund my dole money!

It's very easy to get stuck in a rut cloddy! I've worked for 2 companies since I left school in '86. I should be leaving now but.... I've turned down two possible interviews recently.

**** it Dom. Everyone else is giving up their job, you may as well join them. At least you don't have four hungry Jolivers to feed.

Allan, Dont be too proud to go to the Job Centre to sign up for Job Seekers allowance. I took voluntary redundancy last year and got a pay off and i still qualified for it. For signing on once a fortnight and filling in a diary to show you are looking for work they will give you £58 a week. My feelings were that you see the wasters who have never worked in their lives getting handouts so i thought i might as well get what i could as well.

The added benefit is seeing the chavs and chavettes with their kids in tow arguing witht the staff about their benefits. It is better than watching Big Brother. My favourite was the lad who tried to push in the queue because if he didnt get to see his probation officer by 4.00 that day he would be going back inside.

Hmm that's a point, could sign on, then go cycling, fellrunning and climbing all day. That way I could tell them I've been in training for a job.......(I wish...)
