Colnago felt good today and the weather was fantastic for the 1st of March. 9 of us headed up to the cafe at Feizor for a spot of lunch and very nice it was to. 2 of us came back together after some mechanical issues with the others. 60 miles @ 16mph so nice and social.

Nice 41k this afternoon. Hazy sunshine but a chilly eastly breeze.
A hilly little thing with 930m of climbs.

    Confession time.
I was on the SUMMER bike and it went great.
    AND
The new ultremo ZX tyres came today (but I'm saving them until I wreck these ultremo R.1's thats on now)

An hour on the Ti bike (i.e. racing bike/summer bike) and it was f*cking freezing! Needless to say I foudn it hard work, as it was windy too and I was riding into a headwind the whole time, as I was coming back from dropping the car of at the gagare

Thankfully I am on the track tomorrow, but it is getting urgent that I start getting some serious mileage in, especially on the road :/

Hr Zone 2 my little friend. Remember to build up slowly.
Well done today, it was a tad chilly in that head wind.

Thnaks guys, you are right, no urgency... I am on base building in zone two till the end of April... But am feeling so disheartened that I am so very unfit

But had a good three hours on the boards today and feeling a bit better, as I did make some progress today... Just not as fast as I'd like, but the show of progress in todays session was encourageing

Two hours roughly steady on the road tomorrow and 3 on Sunday planned

Just a steady potter round my fav 25k loop. 500m ascent and all on quite roads. 67mins.
Went on the winter bike with a new shorter stem.
Kept suffering with back ache and Doctor Daz gave me reason and solution at James Thorn race last Sunday.
Still a tad chilly when the breeze gets yer.
    Great to be out though.

    Well done Trevor
Try moving your levers back up your bars 1/2 inch as well. You will be surprised.
100 miles for me today in that shit weather. No stops and just a mars bar to see me through. The Peak District was horrible today but in a few weeks it will be nice again.
65miles on Thursday in lovely crisp weather, 100miles last friday. Plenty of sessions on the rollers as well.
Well done to to all of you for riding in this rough weather. Not easy but just keep at it.
Nice to see you at James Thorn Trev.
If your getting through those tyres pump them up more. You can run them over 120psi you know. Thats just the manufacturers being cautious. Stick 130psi in them Trev. People say run them at 90psi at this time of the year. That was okay before these two bad winters. Put plenty in them and after 60 miles they will have less than a hundred in them anyway.

Even two pairs of socks and two lots of overshoes didnt stop my feet getting wet today. The 7 mile climb up via gellia and to newhaven as great fun with the torrent of water coming down
