Some lead nowhere interesting, others opened up a whole new world to me in my local area. Gave me loads of new possible routes and distances to use. Some I will very much head out on again others I wont go anywhere near. 1 hour 34 mins of pure pleasure. All on my own, no distractions.

Most interesting place is the area in Broadottom behind the houses in what I think is some old brick works. A lot of time and investment has been made to make it walker friendly and accessable by my people.
    i do this regular
its amazing what turns up, your runs can become more varied than you ever imagined

2½ hours on Darwen Moor this morning. Very cold and occasional hail showers.
Was attacked by a small dog (on a lead) near Darwen Tower. Luckily it sunk it's teeth into my shorts and not me.
The owner apologised and I jogged off muttering something or other and wondering whether I should have asked for compensation for the damage to my shorts. Arriving back at the car an hour later the dog owner ran up to me, saying she was glad she'd seen me again and gave me £10 for a new pair of shorts. I feel a bit guilty now!

16 by 400m in sets of four. 60secs between reps 3 mins between sets.

this was something of a departure from my marathon training of the last 5 months but as the long hard mileage weeks will soon return i'm keen to do some faster stuff for a month or so.

Don't feel guilty Swoop. Flipping dogs (or flipping dog owners!)
