Edale Skyline Fell Race

What do others think about this line? we recced it but found it not very runnable. Do you go up to Pym Chair or continue on a lower line to the Wool Packs?

I followed Ian across this line until about three quarters of the way across, then looked up to see the people I had been chasing down on the way to Jacobs Ladder were more or less level with me. I abandoned the last bit and cut up to rejoin the main path just in front of them, as whilst the contour is a quicker line, on tired legs it is a bit of a struggle and I felt I'd lose the ground I'd made up if I continued on it. I hadn't previously recced that line. Ian built up a good advantage by seeing it all the way through though, I think he came out just before Woolpacks.

Speaking of which, if you can hit on the racing line behind Woolpacks you save a massive amount of time. Hadn't really been satisfied I'd found it on my recces but luck was in yesterday and I cruised by.
