Toff, how do you think the Devil's Elbow compares to the Devil's Staircase?

Lovely ride from Crickhowell Hann:thumbup: Great long last descent from the top of Llangynidr!
Devils elbow, easy peasy compared with L'escalier. Staircase is brutal >20% throughout, the elbow only has one really steep hairpin and ramp but not too long, even managed to kick up it whereas it was just survival on the staircase!

I am glad you agree Toff, I had a bit of an 'argument' with someone about it who said the 'elbow' was the hardest climb in S Wales... I defended the 'staircase' as being a lot harder...

Where is Daz? And everyone else? Is it just me and Toff left cycling?

Two hours on the boards again this morning and fitness is definitely creeping back, as I stayed with the fast boys for the whole of the 5 mile TT

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Ive neglected the cycling over the winter...hadnt been out in 6 months until about a month ago!

Yesturday I had the day off...so I set off for a short 12 miler...which ended up being a 21 miler.

    21miles
    1hr 09
    1234ft of climing.
Think its average of about 18.4mph or something which I cant complain about....my legs were absolutely shot by about 15 miles and I had to stick my tongue out for the last 5 miles to keep going.

Im giving myself 3 months to be able to manage a 18mpg average 50 miler..thats my aim at the moment anyway.
