fluo-green Fell Ponies vest - seesyall there!![]()
So, my first race since moving to the Peak, and, all things considered, my first actual fell race that isnt the Box hill race.
I see the Drovers Arms is closed, so is there a post-race pub, or is it correct ettiquette to try and blag a beer off'f Iandarkpeak?
so as an extra challenge we get to run around the course with loose change in our pockets.![]()
I have... observed a second climb on the map

Beautiful evening for this tough little race. Didn't go too well from a purely personal perspective. Steady 1st climb - in 5th at the top - started moorland bit on first descent - saw 3rd and 4th placed runners on wrong path down and left - stupidly decide they're in the right place - lacerate legs charging down through brambles to reach lower path - realise I had been right on the higher path - lacerate legs again going back through brambles - decide to abandon after losing loads of places - trot back - completely forget T shirt and water bottle left at the start / finish.
So if anyone picked up a dryflow cycling top "Tour de l'Oisans" which has some sentimental value and a water bottle (which doesn't) please get in touch and I'll arrange for their collection.
Still the ride over Holme Moss was good.
Hope everyone else had a more successful race!
