That was Tim Midgley, I met up with him at Hill Inn where we both dropped out. He looked a fair state, fell chasing John Matt from Abbey Runners and cut both knees pretty badly and grazes etc. all over the place. It looked worse than it actually was I think.

I dropped out after twisting my knee at the foot of Whernside making the climb extremely hard work. I had to stop and sit down a few times on the way up and lost over a hundred places as a result. Tried to run it off on the descent and gained probably about 15 or so places back before having to stop on the tarmac road and walk to Hill Inn, I considered carrying on but doubt I could've made the climb up Inglebrough without serious problems and wasn't enjoying it at all anymore so pulled out :thunbdown:
