Good job maloni's other half is a fireman! Didn't see them come through Ripponden, they were that fast.

What a great result. Lads are well made up. CVFR also took 1st mixed team today. Helen Fines and Jo Buckley must have recovered well after the PPP last weekend as they had a great run on leg 4. Holmfirth Harriers took 1st ladies with Bingley 2nd. Clayton were 1st Vets. If anyone from Keighley and Craven knows who has got the Mixed Team Trophy can you ask them to get in touch please as it would nice to have it for at least part of the year before the next CW relay.

He was born the wrong side of the border and is haunted by that fact so he abuses our good county when secretly he wishes we would accept him as one of our own! ;-)

He did have a cracking run on the last leg today though so I'm not complaining!!!

Still smiling after that team performance!

They were so fast that I actually thought that the Springfield Striders had taken the lead on leg 1 when me and partner went past P+B pair. Little did I know that they were 5 mins up the road. We ended up 4th on leg 1 but for about 15 mins after I still thought we were 3rd. Great run by those 2. Quality event.

Thanks again to the organisers - it was all very slickly run and I had a great time. I rather liked the new start to leg 6, running through the woods. In fact I liked it so much I couldn't restrain myself from putting in some exuberant acrobatics to get down the first slope.

Thumbs up Re: Calderdale Way Relay

Was great to a part of the event yesterday. Unlike Andy thorpe, I was too busy chasing my Irish lover/nemesis across the moor, to whack him with my handbag. Andy gloated the whole of leg 5 about the fact that he was leading the calderdale relay. To the point, great atmosphere at the heath rugby club and good tuck too (got 50 extra slices at the end)

CVFR rule...another win in December should cement that.
Performance of the day-would have to be Manchester United...ahead from the start
