Race or Rest. Can you not nip out on your bike today and see how you go. What about lifting your bars up a bit on your bike to ease the pain ??. Flip your stem around ? .
Maybe lower your seat a tad just for this race.
    Good luck whatever you choose.
Interestingly Daz, it got worse when I stopped cycling... but am going to try a ride in a minute, when I leave work, then make my decision... If it is painful to ride or if it gets more painful after riding, I won't race... Thing is, working on the computer aggravates things so far, not the riding...

Just nipped out for a quick 5o miles. Bit windy but loads of bikies out down here.
Nearly had a cafe stop at ambergate but just resisted the lure of the cake.
    Nice and sunny mind.

Richmond Park x 3 for me, plus there 'n' back. Busy it was, and legs pretty dead after a 10km race (run) earlier.

Finished strongly though. I'm getting there with this cyclling lark, gradually... Need some longer rides and climbs though to build endurance in the legs.

    Well done zoot
Given time you will get into longer rides. Your body will get stronger and adapt. Just takes time. Keep at it well done mate

I went out for a swift 1.5 hour... legs still there, as taking it easy at 29.8 km/hr average and it is a tad lumpy around here... interestingly, now the shoulder feels BETTER not worse If only I had had a chance to test it yesterday, I would have been racing this weekend

No ones mentioned wiggins historic yes historic win in the dauphine race. I was so excited as he rode over the last climb.
A brilliant occasion, seeing one of ours on the podium.
    Great stuff.

Eavesy a very special person who should be in your thoughts was born on this day in 1894. Mr francis pelisser. Master anquetil had a lot to thank him for.
He launched anquetil at exactly the right moment.

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Not been following the cycling much lately I do however have a soft spot for Geraint Thomas

Went to the track this afternoon, for 2 hours of sprint training... 30 mins warmup, then 3x 500 and 3x 750 either standing or rolling start... Needless to say, I am knackered and my quads are tender, so it must have done some good spinning out on a 90 gear, so well pleased
