:thunbdown: The race organisers with races on that date will be fairly p+++ed off, and will probably have to change there dates, or face low numbers, has I did this year when the date was changed, the concensus of opinion among the runners I have talked to would sooner have it in December as there is to much going on in May for clubs to get enough runners for teams. Oh well thats commitees for you always coming unanimously to the wrong decisions.

How come the committee said that they had positive feed back with the relay being in May when so far no one on this forum or most of their team mates agrees with the decision. I am really please that my mate Linda isn't the organiser now. After 10 years of being the organiser of the largest (or at least is was) relay in the country so has now got nought to do with it now thank god. I think that there could be some interesting times ahead for the new organiser and committee. Let the fun begin!!!

I am slightly dissapointed because it will lose its character for sure and always like it just before christmas had a good feel to it. However it probably has come down to marshalling and simply there were more availabilites to marshall at the may event. At least now the Mytholmroyd fell race now falls on a that date so hopefully this will become established more with some big names (hopefully)
