What a performance, Nicky is a legend. Probably the most focused person i know to the point of stubberness. Awesome effort in the conditions throught the day which was very warm, the night was so perfect as to be unbelievable. hardly a breath of wind and so clear. For completeness it's worth noting that this wasn't a DPFR effort although there was large continguent for Dark Peak, Equal in numbers were our friends from Penistone FPR where Nicky started running, Amanda Heading From Race Kit who was the coordinator and made sure every thing/body was where it was supposed to be. plenty of others also helped out
At the finish at approx 2.45am there were 30-40 supporters, family and friends gathered to cheer her in followed by Champagne and beer to toast her success. Nicky Sat in a chair with a huge grin as she recieved hugs from every one.
The party continued at the campsite for those who could keep awake until 4.30am with more beer and whisky.
Anne Johnson turned up again as Nicky was taken out for a celebratory meal after a lazy morning(for most) on the campsite.
One wonders what great feat Nicky will come up with next.
