A similar type of plan scraped me round Duddon last year, so if there's anybody else likely to be stumbling along at the back, we could form a Beat The Cut-Offs Posse

Church Stile is a very good family campsite, but will probably be full. Old Post Office looks OK too, but the tents are quite close together. Both have excellent pubs nearby.

Any forumites staying at the NT campsite Fri/sat? We'll be the family staying in a combination of one of the national trust 'pod' thingies and a bright red tent, with a small possy of 11 year olds. Will try to keep them quiet after sensible o'clock for sleep purposes!

I'll be travelling up from St Helens, fairly close to the M6. Is there anyone else travelling from anywhere in the vicinity or on my way up (Standish, Wigan, Leyland, Chorley, Preston, Lancaster etc) who wants to share transport?

Did you manage to get a lift sorted?

I know there are 1 or two going from Horwich/Lostock on the Saturday. I'm going up (spectating) from Friday to Sunday so can't help you sorry.
