Sad news about Dan Booth above puts things in perspective. Useful reminder to appreciate what you have and not let insignificant things (rubbish job, little money etc) get you down.

I was pegging out my washing this morning when I was hit on the top of my right ear by something. When I looked down there was a crust of bread on the lawn. So was it dropped by a passing bird or did one of my neighbours throw it (Been reading a lot about paranoia recently and how easy it manifests itself )

Just had a thought and checked out the said crust to find a beak mark on it. Inspector Alf cracks the case and the neighbour is in the clear.

Maybe they are "dropping" a hint they would like regular feeding in the future I suppose there are worse things that birds can drop on you
